Help us build a strong and safe community. One person, one donation, one impact at a time.

Millions of children are impacted by mass incarceration as revenue is directed away from education and building families to building prisons. We're making a difference in the lives our children.

CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING...

  • Urban Prep Academy, the first all-male public charter high school in the United States has graduated 100% of it seniors from 2010 through 2016, with all being admitted to four-year colleges or universities.
  • Eight of the last ten Heisman Trophy winners, those outstanding college football player whose performances best exhibit the pursuit of excellence with integrity, great ability, diligence, perseverance, and hard work, have been African American. More than 30 in all since 1961.
  • The computer calculations of three African American female scientists and mathematicians, Katherine Johnson, Dorothy Vaughan and Mary Jackson made it possible for astronaut John Glenn to orbit the earth.

Despite extraordinary achievements in science, technology, education, politics, and business, the United States continues to choose to over-police, over-arrest, over-prosecute and over incarcerate African Americans and other Americans, often wrongfully, at a disproportionate rate. 2.3 million Americans are currently incarcerated, an increase of 800% in the federal system alone in 30 years, and millions of children are paying the price.

The Power of One person to donate, to speak up, and to get involved is the difference between a country that will encourage extraordinary achievement or one that will continue to quash the brilliance and talent that so many of our children possess. We invite you to help us turn the tide toward abolishing a system of destruction.
